The Cyclone features breakthrough advancements in wind and shock isolation performance. A unique "multi-suspension" design provides complete isolation against all forms of handling noise. Outstanding shock protection is provided by the Rycote patented Lyre Microphone Suspension System, plus the Floating-Basket Suspension with Lyre® Technology (patent pending) that provides isolation between the basket structure and the microphone suspension.

A two-piece, Z-Locking design magnetically affixes the basket around the microphone for instant and secure attachment to, or detachment from, the suspension. Increased transparency is achieved due to the cone-like shape, that vastly reduces reflective parallel surfaces, and this unique design of the basket gives superior wind-noise protection with Rycote's grey 3D-Tex fabric and without the need for a fur Windjammer. The grey 3D-Tex fabric is a durable material that provides a neutral appearance while providing excellent acoustic transparency and superb attenuation of wind-noise.

The Rycote Cyclone Small delivers outstanding performance for small diaphragm condenser and short shotgun microphones alike. The detachable Offset Link bracket, provides mic-axis articulation for ideal microphone placement.
