The W 5 D is an acoustic foam windscreen made for use with pressure-gradient and pressure transducers in wind. Its material is made with a black porous velvet-like surface treatment. The foam encloses an air chamber around the capsule similar to a basket windscreen. It's very efficient and has only a minimal impact on sound quality.
