The K-87CCR by K-Tek is wired with internal coiled cable and a side exit (CCR) base unit with 3-Pin Male XLR and a rubber bottom. It has six sections with a minimum extension of 2 feet, 2 inches. Maximum extension is 7 feet, 5 inches. Weight: 1.61 lbs or 726 g. Collapsed length of 2’ 2″ | 66 cm and an extended length of 7’ 5″ | 226 cm and only weighs 1.6lbs | 726g. The top attachment is a 3/8" – 16 male thread.

K-Tek Traveler Klassic Boom Poles are constructed from high-density graphite selected for maximum strength and minimum weight. Eight layers of dent-proof graphite are precision ground and then burnished to produce a low handling-noise finish.

Traveler Boom Poles are perfect for frequent travelers and any situation where the boom pole has to pack up small but still extend to long lengths. This is achieved by having more sections with a relatively short collapsed length. Telescoping sections are connected with K-Tek's proprietary locking system.

The "captive collet" is held within a collar. With a gentle twist, the collar squeezes the collet to lock the pole in position. The collar has a aluminum sleeve studded with a unique dimple design that provides a pleasant touch and good grip under all conditions, even in extreme temperatures and humidity.

The bottom coupling allows boom operators to attach a variety of accessories making all K-Tek Klassic Boom Poles modular. In today's changing production landscape, this future-proof modularity translates to versatily from shot to shot, scene to scene and location to location.
