In this version, the TR-50PS lav is hardwired to a TR-79 Power Supply (positive bias*) via a 9 ft. cable and can be powered via a 1.5V button cell battery or 12-48V phantom power (when using this option, you must remove internal battery).

The TR-50 miniature professional lavalier microphone answers the needs of even the most demanding sound recording engineer. It has been designed with the latest electret development and electronics technology to provide high-sound quality with little or no visibility. Its small size and special design make it ideal for a variety of uses and fastening locations - particularly when situations require an unobtrusive appearance and hidden mic use.

The tiny omni-directional capsule features minimum sound coloration and is therfore easily combined with boom-mics during post production. A variety of accessories makes mounting the mic on or under clothing easy, with reliable results.

The extended frequency response range and omni-directional characteristics have been designed to satisfy the most stringent requirements in all professional audio fields, particularly film and TV production.

Available mic color: LSC stocks mostly Black. Other colors (Gray, Tan, or White) are available as a special order.

*Bias indicates which way power flows to the microphone. When you install the battery, you need to place it the correct way. The positive (+) and the negative (-) sides of the battery need to be inserted the proper way. If you insert the battery the wrong way it will not work.
