The W5 is a 3.5" solid foam ball windscreen ideal for omnidirectional microphones in windy environments. It is a a low-cost alternative to popscreens when greater efficiency is needed.

The W5 can be used with pressure-gradient transducers in light wind as it offers minimal influence on sound and polar patterns, especially at low frequencies.
